Down Councillor Cadogan Enright has welcomed the way in which traders concerns were handled in the ‘Public Realm’ revamp of Market Lane.
“Market Lane connects that Irish Street Car Park to Market Street and is a busy pedestrian thoroughfare. Traders had expressed their concerns to me that the sort of disruption experienced in Market Street last year should be avoided if at all possible. I passed on their concerns to council officers and in the event the work has been carried out with the minimum disruption.” Said Cllr Enright
“Traders preferences for how the project was completed and what Street Furniture was to be included were taken into account, and I must complement Council Staff and contractors for the way in which this project was handled” Concluded Cllr Enright
